Rudy Lee Valdez
My name is Rudy Lee Valdez. I have been weaving for many years now. Both of my parents, as well as all my brothers and sisters have been professional weavers. My father taught me how to weave when I was 13. I weave Chimayo, Rio Grande and Moki Style weavings. I really enjoy weaving, especially the traditional stlyes. Some of my pieces have been sold at the Spanish Market in Santa fe. The Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe has bought two of my weavings. I have sold my pieces to Centinela Traditional Arts in Chimayo, New Mexico. I have also been featured in the New Mexico Magazine for my weavings.
