Spanish Market

Spanish Market is an annual art show, held on the Plaza in Santa Fe on the last full weekend of July. It is a gathering of artists working in New Mexican Spanish colonial tradition and techniques. Participants must be screened in, deemed to be working at an appropriate level of quality. The show includes a competition for a number of ribbons, awarded in a variety categories, including weaving. It is sponsored by the Spanish Colonial Arts Society. A number of weavers represented by Centinela Traditional Arts show at Spanish Market, including frequent prize winners, Irvin and Lisa Trujillo.
